Filtering Messages Marked as [SPAM] to a Seperate Folder

Outlook Express 5.5 and 6.0 (Windows Version)

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click Tools
3. Click Message Rules
4. Click Mail

NOTE: If presented with a "Message Rules" window, click on "New"

5. At this point you should be presented with a "New Mail Rule" window.
6. In the top section, check "Where the Subject line contains specific words"
7. In the middle section, check "Move it to the specified folder"
8. In the lower section click "contains specific words"
     a. Type [SPAM] in the thin white box.
     b. Click OK

9. In the lower section click "specified"
     a. Click "New Folder"
     b. Enter the name of the folder you'd like all your SPAM directed to, such as "SPAM"

10. Click OK three times.

Outlook Express 5.0 (Macintosh Version)

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click Rules
3. Click New
4. In Rule name, type [SPAM]
5. Click the arrow next to "All Messages" and select "Subject"
6. To the right of "Subject contains" type [SPAM]
7. Click the arrow next to "Change Color" and select "Move Message"
8. Click the arrow next to "Inbox" and then select "Choose Folder"
9. Click New
10. Type SPAM
11. Click Create
12. Click Choose
13. Click OK

Netscape Messenger 4 (Windows Version)

1. Open Netscape Messenger
2. Click Edit
3. Click Message Filters
4. Click New...
5. In filter name, type [SPAM]
6. To the right of "the subject of the message contains" type [SPAM]
7. Click New Folder
8. In name, type SPAM
9. Under "Create as subfolder of:", select "Local Mail"
10. Click OK three times.

Netscape Messenger 4 (Macintosh Version)

1. Open Netscape Messenger
2. Click Edit
3. Click Message Filters
4. Click New
5. Type [SPAM]
6. To the right of "Subject contains" type [SPAM]
7. Click New Folder
8. In name, type SPAM
9. Under "Create as subfolder of:", select "Local Mail"v 10. Click Create
11. Close the window

Netscape Messenger 6 (Windows Version)

1. Open Netscape Messenger
2. Click Edit
3. Click Message Filters
4. Click New...
5. In filter name, type [SPAM]
6. To the right of "Subject contains" type [SPAM]
7. Click New Folder
8. In name, type SPAM
9. Under "Create as subfolder of:", select "Local Mail" and then "choose this for the parent"
10. Click OK three times.

Mail for OS X

1. Click Mailbox
2. Click New Mailbox
3. Type SPAM
4. Click OK
5. Click Mail
6. Click Preferences
7. Click Rules
8. Click Create Rules
9. In description, type [SPAM]
10. Click the arrows next to From and select Subject
11. To the right of "Subject contains" type [SPAM]
12. Check "Transfer to Mailbox"
13. Click the arrow to the right of Inbox
14. Click SPAM
15. Click OK
