VIRUS ALERT! W32.MyDoom.M
Greetings!
We wanted to bring this virus variation to your attention, because of
the particularly dangerous and misleading content found in the e-mail.
Messages sent from MyDoom.M often claim to be from the technical staff
or management at the recipient's ISP; in this case, Enter.Net. There are
a number of random messages generated by this virus, the most common of
which claims that your computer is sending massive amounts of junk e-mail
and that you need to run the attachment to remove a trojan virus from your
computer. This is not a legitimate message from Enter.Net and should be
deleted immediately. Enter.Net does not send fixes, patches, or
supplements via e-mail attachments.
PREVENTION
If you receive this, or any other e-mail, that claims to be from someone
you know and urges you to open an attachment, we recommend that you
verify with the sender first that they did send you an attachment. In
the case of messages that claim to come from Enter.Net, please feel free
to contact our support department with any questions or concerns.
